BLASPHEMOUS PROFANITY
Updated: Aug 17, 2022
Many years ago, I would get frustrated when words like Jesus Christ, or OMG were crossed out by some well-meaning reader. Hey, it's adult reading, bro! Come on, we as writers are only portraying it! Today I tend to agree with that well meaning reader. I guess convincing an unbelieving writer of this is pointless, though ironically, I have never come upon 'Allah, Krishna, Hare, Rama, Buddha' etc. Now why is that? Does the name of Jesus have more impact, do they subconsciously acknowledge the existence of Jesus Christ as God by using His name? True, the name of Christ Jesus is the most wonderful sound in my ears, but misusing it hurts for sure.
